Login tab not appearing on front page

SlipJaq is working great except it doesn't appear on my site's base url for unauthenticated users. It shows just fine on any other screens and it does appear on the home page once the user is authenticated. For the sake of troubleshooting I deleted all of the exclude paths for unauthenticated users in the SlipJaq settings. I'm also using the default setting to "Display at page top" and have not enabled the SlipJaq block in any regions from the Blocks screen.
